Sunny is our new ISSR Shiloh Shepherd puppy. She is a breed-quality little girl whose future litter someday will be on a co-own with the breed founder of Shiloh Shepherds, Tina Barber. I found Shiloh Shepherds listed in a pocket encyclopedia of dogs in 1999. The description said they were bred to avoid the tendency toward nervousness or congenital bone disease of the German Shepherd Dog and quality of temperament was emphasized. The picture showed a young adult plush Shiloh and I was hooked. I located an ISSR breeder and got my first Shiloh within a month. Skye turned out to be the best dog I have ever had, and I have been devoted to the breed ever since. Skye passed away suddenly in early 2007 from gastric torsion, but on December 19th, 2007, Sunny arrived at her new forever home.
We had a fun weekend the last week in June. On Sat. we took the horses and dogs and rode a beautiful trail above Aspen (yes, above! We were riding at around 11,000ft.)
The next day we went to the Vail Farmers market where Sunny did a lot of socialization last summer.
